Artist’s Biography

I believe a body of work is like a person. Much more is available in being with the art than reading the ‘pedigree’ details. I will leave that to the art historians and the critics.

I would like to offer some of what I recall – so as to hopefully qualify for this show as an artist because I would love to be included in this show. It would be a great honor, just sayin’.

Washington University School of Fine Arts, St. Louis, MO, 1972 Full Scholarship

My work is in private collections too numerous to track.

I have been in many art shows, competitions, group shows and noname galleries – during 1972 through 1992 – also too numerous to track.

I have always been creative – even to a fault – and applied that naturally in every aspect of my existence.

Current Evolving Work since March 2023:
1.6 acres in North Fork, CA
A habitat entitled: “I am Painting from a Flower”

Artist Statement

Our humanity is expressed through the arts. Art is an illusion that points to a greater reality. Such as Life is an illusion that points to a greater reality.

Life is filled with infinite sources of inspiration. These works on paper are some examples of what inspires me to share and connect with you through art.

Viewer response is part of the Life of a piece. It is what happens when art comes out of the studio and is offered for people to view. I find it interesting to listen to what you see and feel when you pause to take in what is in front of your eyes. For me, this adds to the creation, and the greater reality begins to be revealed.

I am grateful for this opportunity to connect and discover with you.
