Creating…

“If we’re not creating something, we’re fixing something, including ourselves. It’s vitally important for our soul’s expression to keep the doors to creativity open. If we’re not lit up and living a big life, then we are just treading water and the people around us will reflect our own misery.” ~ Neika

Artist’s Biography

I believe a body of work is like a person. Much more is available in being with the art than reading the ‘pedigree’ details. I will leave that to the art historians and the critics.

I would like to offer some of what I recall – so as to hopefully qualify for this show as an artist because I would love to be included in this show. It would be a great honor, just sayin’’ :

Washington University School of Fine Arts, St. Louis, MO, 1972 Full Scholarship

My work is in private collections too numerous to track.

I have been in many art shows, competitions, group shows and noname galleries – during 1972 through 1992 – also too numerous to track.

I have always been creative – even to a fault – and applied that naturally in every aspect of my existence.

Breathwork

Breathwork has been used by humans for at least 5,000 years. References are made in the “Yoga Sutras of Patanjali” with in 18 of the Sutras. One of which is Pada II. Sutra 51.

“The refinement of breath or prana is thus the physical counterpart of expansion of consciousness. The breath is the connecting link of life between the inner machinery – the mind, intellect, ego and senses – and the outer machinery – the physical body and its world. It is precisely the breath locked into narrow boundaries of stress, belief and judgment that maintains ignorance. Conversely, when the subtlest breath, the udana prana enters the susumna, enlightenment is absolutely natural.”

This is a current article from Science Daily:

“Scientist reveal how breathwork unlocks psychedelic bliss in the brain” 9/2/2025

High ventilation breathwork while listening to music was associated with reports of blissful states and reduced negative emotions, accompanied by increase blood flow to emotion-processing brain regions. Participants experienced unity and bliss, pointing to a natural therapeutic tool with powerful potential.

Discernment

To trust a stranger without investigation invites troubles so endless that even our descendents must endure them.

After investigation, entrust a person with matters for which they are trustworthy. To trust a person who has not been tested and to suspect a person who has proven to be trustworthy leads to endless ills.
